Also at what level do yews become fast and efficent to cut ? (At 65, they are painfully slow)

Woodcutting is a great AFK money making. From what I hear yews are great at 85-90 and do willows till then.

you'll be lucky to pull in 100k at 80+

there are better money makers, I personally prefer combat methods of money making eg. slayer, ghostly warriors...

at 99 I find yews and magics to be about the same money but yews have more exp

WCing is an average money maker.

 

I like it because it is good for AFKing and I am currently going for 99.

 

 

 

Yews are very slow on the lower levels but get a little speedier around lvl 80.

99 woodcutting here. The best money in woodcutting is magic logs. I can consistently average 120 magic logs per hour with a dragon axe. That's about 150-160k gp/hr, about the same or a little less than mining pure essence in Varrock. Yews are worse--I can get 230-250 per hour on average...about 108k gp/hr. Eucalyptus is the best of the three: I get 300 logs per hour on average, which is 115-120k gp/hr, but 49.5k exp/hr. Best combination of profit and xp in the skill.

 

 

 

Woodcutting is a mediocre moneymaker at best, as you can see, and I do not recommend it as a primary source of income. You can always make better cash no matter what your stats are.
