i_love_burritos
Whats the fastest way to get from 41 to 50 ? Steel bars?
Kellis
Steel bars if you've got a decently high income. Iron bars with rings of forging if you don't. Use the hammer from SC; it really does help a ton.

Bad911
does this sound good? buy iron and coal, smelt into steel, from steel bars smelt into cannonballs. buy iron ore => iron bars w/ Ring o' forgies => iron knives I think you get a profit, but its pretty fast. I also hear buying iron bars and making iron nails, then selling to the sawmill northeast of varrok.
Kellis
does this sound good? buy iron and coal, smelt into steel, from steel bars smelt into cannonballs. Cannonballs are 1/2 experience, so that's actually about the slowest method you could pick.
fat_klutz
It isn't that much cash just to spend the money on steel bars for 41-50. You can also do quests. http://www.runescape.com/c=bbb4c79/kbas ... le_id=1768 Thats a list of the quests that give smithing exp and depending on your levels and wether or not you have done some of those that might be fastest. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature. ^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one
i_love_burritos
Sh.it, why was i so stupid :wall: , iron bars to iron knives it is then....
kdb148
Fast smithing experience involves either gold ore with goldsmith gauntlets, or buying bars and smithing plates. The fastest way from 41-50 would be to buy iron bars and make plates with them. You'd lose a lot of money, but it is the fastest method. Gold ore with goldsmith gauntlets would be a very close second, and might even be cheaper. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
mikeybeech
I hate the skill smithing with a passion... =[ But, i'm gunna train both smithing and mining to make arrows. I would make iron/steel plates and sell them or alch them. [you would loose a LOT of money this way] OR I would do the quests like fat_klutz has suggested. LONG WAY TO GO.
