i made a initiate pure and i was wondering if i shud get 45 def.. can ne1 help me? giv me some pros and cons to 45 def?

With 45 defence accompanies a higher strength bonus with the equipment (e.g.: Fighter Torso, Fremmenik Helms, Rune Defender, etc.) you can wield so of course you can hit higher.

 

Being an initiate pure limits you to adamant gloves, and being at least 36 defence allows you to wield "Barrow" gloves, which at +12 strength bonuses is a huge one for the defence level required. However it is 130k and a hefty price to lose everytime you would go PKing.

 

 

 

Disadvantages with being 45 defence of course would be the cost associated with it: everytime you would die you would Rune armour and all that added equipment. It also increases your combat a lot more than if you were just an initiate pure and you would be susceptible to the many rune pures out there.

 

 

 

However it is your choice and you must balance cost v.s. effectiveness to reach a decision. Good luck.

I'd go with rune pure, you will have a higher combat but thats not necessarily a bad thing. The good pking isnt the pures at lower lvls (the ones like lvl 60 who barrage :? ) but its really with the high lvls in rune and whips. Besides, I really dont see the point in an initiate pure...

ne other reasons?

initiate pures are not pures...they just limit themselves to 20 defense. initiate is overrated against players.

 

 

 

I'd get 45 Defense if you want to remain a "pure". True, you loose more money if you die but you can also make millions very easily. its also alot easier to train and is more fun.

Personally, I'd go with rune pure. I really wish my pure was a rune pure. I'm in a pure clan though, so I'd like to keep my low defence. Maybe one day I'll get 45 though.

I was initiate pure, but I didn't notice the difference between 1 and 20 def.

 

After a while I became rune pure, and till this day I have yet to regret it :)

Definately rune pure. Honestly since you already have defence go to 45. Inititate is garbage...
