RaZoR-CuTs
I went out and bought Mercenaries, and ill be damned theres a scratch on it so now it allways freezes on the picture of the gas mask. Is there anyway i can get the scratch out? I heard somthing about buffing it out with toothpaste, does this work?
Pyro
If the scratch is so bad that some data is unreadable I very much doubt you can "repair" it in any way. Stay away from the toothpaste in any case.

Stay away from the toothpaste in any case. Actually, most game shops (electronics boutique, GAME etc) do a cleaning service which works wonders and costs pennies. Look into that, my friend had a terrible copy of FFX2 which could hardly be read and it works perfectly now. And yeah, stay away from the toothpaste hahah. MrB33n
Dont them disk "cleaners" jsut take a layer of the top of the disc to remove the scratches?
Comet2002
Dont them disk "cleaners" jsut take a layer of the top of the disc to remove the scratches? Yep. Also like someone else said, most computer/cd shops have cd cleaners that they charge like 3 bucks to clean a disk. It almost ALWAYS comes out very good after that and costs much less than buying your own cd cleaning kit. :D

soulman01
I've heard that pouring coke on cd's works, but I've never tried it. sounds mentally challenged to me. Definately NOT! Coke is partly acidic so eats away at the reflective coating=unplayable disc!
