smartme
Back in the day, which was a Wednesday by the way, the best place to hunt Chinchompa's was near the black wall/ edge of the world near the Larupia hunting expert. I haven't hunted since the release of "As a Last Resort", but I have noticed while passing through that the world has expanded and the black wall that kept chinchompas from running west no longer exists. My question: Where is the best place to hunt Red Chinchompa's today? If anyone has a link to a chinchompa-spot guide, that'd be great. I don't need a tutorial, I'm still lvl 77 from last year and doubt there have been any updates to the process.
Bad911
Do you know the 1 chinchompa trick? Find the exact location of a red chinchompa spawn, place the max amount of traps around the spawn. Then kill every chinchompa near you using a bow and arrows. The chinchompa should spawn right away, the chinchompa will then die to one of your traps, if it doesn't just kill it again. Go to a very high population world so that it respawns fast enough. After you have caught one, it should "die" inside your box, quickly get it and re-setup your trap. EDIT: I found a video, credits go to, uh....Artemis1330 http://media.putfile.com/A-new-way-to-h ... hinchompas
smartme
That seems inefficient... laying 4/5 boxes near 3 spawns seems better than just 1 spawn, presuming the little guys can't run too far away. Is this what hunters do now?

Is this what hunters do now? Watch the video, you'll see how effective it is, although the guy in the video is reallly slow at setting up and collecting. Watch it till the end, past halfway you can see him racing with another person who spread his out, They were bothing picking up chinchompas at the same rate, although the 1 spawn method was winning in my opinion. Yeah, i don't think Artemis1330 was the creator of this video, i think it was some guy on the rsof like 2 years ago.
gun_hippy
Although it sounds rather silly and much slower, it IS quite a bit faster. I doubted it at first also, but try it out, you'll be amazed.
smartme
Cool. For Chins, is a Spirit Larupia or Arctic Bear better? (I'm lvl 80 summoner)

smartme
larupia +5 arctic +7 Yeah, but the Larupia is native to that hunting location. Does the +2 hunter outweigh the benefit of extra camo?

ultimatballr
I haven't tested it out yet (the 2 summons) but I am planning on using an Arctic Bear. You should be wearing Larupia clothing so the fact that the summon is native to the area is really irrelevant (I would think). And yes the 1 box method does catch chins faster and more efficiently, but try to keep yourself on a level world with which you can reset your traps. If you go on a highly populated world (1700-2000) you may have trouble keeping up with the respawn and traps. If you fall behind it is hard to catch up, you lose your rhythm and you should probably reset all of your traps and start again. I like to stay in worlds with 1300-1600 population. With 5 traps I find that to be good to maximize my chins/hour. Apparently, my signature was to big.
