I hate to be a bumper, but any C/C on this?

lampost_sig_stark.png

I'll try and C/C.

1. Doesn't really appeal to me to be honest. The smudging is good, though.

2. It's mine ;) It looks good, but it is a tad simple.

3. Looks good, but I don't like what you have done to the right side of it.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

I did clipping masks. Anyone can have them, don't bother asking me (Aside from the middle one.) I used clipping masks. I gfound a much easier way to do them. The way before, I used 5 steps. This way uses two, for the same outcome.

They all look really bright IMO.

Add some adjustments if GIMP has them, they seem very lacking atm.

Heya, Shiny ::'

The concept on the first one is okay. It's just you've failed to execute it in a good way. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, however. The white lines (clipping masks?) are quite distracting IMO and don't really fit there. Again the idea for the text is good but isn't excuted properly. Is that smudging that you've done their? I like the idea of it but again it hasn't been executed properly. The colours aren't very good either but I can see where you're coming from with this tag and I suppose it isn't too bad.

Second one I rather like actually. The border is horrendous though, take it off. Oh and that doesn't mean slap on a 5px black one either :) The orange stuff (pentool?) looks too random and doesn't fit in too well. Although it could have looked so much better if placed properly. Overall it looks decent. A bit too simple and lacking effects though.

Third one is probably the best. Smudging isn't too good and I don't like the border. You've tried to blend the render and yeah, I suppose it works but it's the lack of appeal and the cluttered C4D's that really bring this tag down. It's not just that either, the colours aren't too flash (though they're not the worst I've seen) and the lack of effects is unappealing.

Overall they aren't too bad. I think you have great ideas and concept but you just need to execute them properly. I know that's easier said than done but if you work on it, you and I both know you'll get it. You also need to try and include a variety of effects and not just smudge and add C4D's. Also it's just that your tags lack an overall appeal to them. I don't know how you can fix that, maybe try a new style out? Experiment, whatever you have to do, go ahead and do it. Remember you can always ask for advice and/or read tutorials.

Yeah, the second one probably the best; if you expanded on it, adding some new effects by using wireframes and textures, it could turn out pretty awesome. And take off that border, it looks horrendous :P

Keep it up Shiny, you are getting better  =D>

First one: Not a fan of it. The colour scheme is very monotone and quite boring, and I'm not really sure about the white lines, smudging and text. Just doesn't really work IMO, a bit too simple maybe...

Second one: Not bad apart from the border, the style is pretty good. Quite monotone though, again, and the composition isn't great with the dead centre focal point. Although it's not too bad in this case.

Third one: I think I can see what kind of style you were aiming at here, and the outcome isn't too bad, but IMO there's too much contrast between the left and the right side. And again, get rid of the border. :P

I thought the borders looked cool .

I think i'l have a further go at the second. I did it in 5 minutes, and I was really looking for ways to improve. Good wireframes please?

The second one could be ok if you didn't have the totally unnecessary sprite and flame in it. But then again there just isn't much work done on it overall.

The first is boring, too large of a canvas size for something like that.

The third... meh, I'm not a fan of throwing game images into signatures randomly any more. Again I don't know all of what you did, all i really see is the game image, the 3D render and then some light smudging in the background. Again it is too empty for such a canvas size and the colors are dull and lifeless.

You can't blame him for that. I requested it to have that sprite with the flame behind it.
