December 20, 200817 yr One thing I have been saying RS needed since I joined during the days of RS Classic has always been a true clan system. The clan chat was a step in the right direction, but not particularly what I was looking for. Jagex should leave the old clan chat in place, but call it something different and create a new TRUE clan system that allows players to display their clan. Even make capes with guild symbols and stuff on them. Do you think that a real clan system would benefit the RS community?
December 21, 200817 yr CC is enough. They arn't going to copy WoW and display your clan name, or allow unique armour Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire. Want some?
December 21, 200817 yr CC is enough. They arn't going to copy WoW and display your clan name, or allow unique armour Though that's not necessarily WoW-specific. MMO's have done it long before WoW did. Make the same mistake twice,Burst of red and green covering me.Brings the things that she loves,I should let it fold over.
December 21, 200817 yr I am thinking maybe for a start, players can have an easel in their POH that can create cape with their own symbols? Just a suggestion though, what with the heraldic helms, banners and what not. The downside is that with hundreds over clan out there, the symbols won't be enough for all of them.
December 24, 200817 yr Technicly, Jagex doesn't need to put this in the game to make it. Alot of clans already have the certain uniform (certain cape ammy etc) and then the cc really helped... and really... what would actualy be improved if Jagex made this real? what would it be? not much more than what is already in the game...
December 25, 200817 yr Well i should say there should be a official clan system where you can make your own clan and have the name of the clan your in on the chatbox when you talk.Like in my case [Fighting Saints]Lan735:Blah blah blah. December 25, 200817 yr Author I just think organizing the clan could be way easier for leaders if there was a true system.
December 25, 200817 yr CC is enough. They arn't going to copy WoW and display your clan name, or allow unique armour Though that's not necessarily WoW-specific. MMO's have done it long before WoW did. It doesn't matter who did if first the fact is that there are sooo many RS clans with new ones coming and going each day with each joe blogs wanting to start his own. It would be to hard to keep up with the out side of runescape activities. Anyway, haven't we got team capes?
December 25, 200817 yr Author Team capes are just dumb with all the other options. I would prefer a skill cape that has def and prayer bonus to a team cape that shows me a few dots on my mini map.
January 8, 200917 yr I think Jagex needs more support for clans in the ways highlighted on this thread. Unique armour? Give me a break. But it would easily be possible to create an item for wear not during clan wars- for instance, a jacket and some trousers in the colour of your clan. Not difficult and would be great for the game. Dragon drops: Half shield(cs), med helm(cs) Chainbody (cs) (I do a lot of monster hunting with my clan!Barrows: Guthan's plateboy [1]GWD: None yet, only done a few tripsOthers: I'd love to be able to let you know.
January 9, 200917 yr Heralds on rune and steel and banners are a step in the right direction in making individual crests (more like a big toe forward though). Clanchat is a very good addition. However, I was never really part of a clan when I played WoW. All I think I know is that clan mates would have a separate list in listing names, like a separate friends list. How is that really different from having a runehead clan? Enlighten me if I'm ignorant of what tangibility having an ingame guild name next to our names or custom armor would have. I'm pretty sure that we can manage without a picture of a dragon or clan crest on our steel armor in the future MSSW's.
