King's Ransom Knight Waves - Hally Safespot!

Featured Replies

Yeah, there is one safespot. I discovered in one video on youtube, so the credits go to the autor of the video, extremeotank.

The video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWR8BPnI ... re=related

The safespots are only in the dummies that are in the video, so please correct in the quest guide in the site.

Thanks.

I admit the vid looks good - just hope it wasn't from the old days before Jagex adjusted the room.

Did you use this technique yourself, and recently? Or are you just reporting the video? Although his posting date was recent, you'll notice most of the vids date from the release, and Jagex nerfed the hally potential shortly afterwards.

I've added a note that some players report luck. Then folks can find out for themselves, eh? Per your note I did not credit you, but could not credit extremeotank since he did not post here himself. :( I hope some people can post confirming or denying using the technique recently.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

I used this technique less than a month ago and it did work. I know Jagex removed some safe spots from the game recently, but I'm not sure if this was one of those specifically mentioned.

I'm sure this doesn't work, I heard that if you do use the dummies as a safe spot you have to be quick about actually getting back into the fight otherwise the King's knight will disappear and the fight will end

It does work, because I used it. I didn't have to start over. If there are still dummies in the room (and they haven't been removed) then it's still possible.

I can test this soon; I still need to unlock Piety but have completed the quest.

If you've already done Knight Waves, I don't think you can do it again. I think it will just allow you to use Piety when you get to level 70 prayer, if that's what you're speaking of.

Like I mentioned...I did this a couple of weeks ago. I sincerely doubt that this "safe spot" was one of the ones removed. All it would take is one person who hasn't finished the waves to go in and try hiding between dummies (if they're still there). In fact, I would urge people not to post here again unless they've actually done this quest since the "update" (which wasn't completely true, since Jagex removed some "safe spots" but left others, like in Desert Treasure). I've done it recently, but not since that update. Posting with further speculation isn't necessary...is it?

No, I have never completed Knight Waves.

It works. I used the method in the video of getting the knight on the other side of the dummy, running out one square, and then running back as soon as the knight moves.

That makes a bunch of confirmations...I think this would be a good addition to the guide...hopefully a crew member will agree!
