December 24, 200817 yr Alright I need some merchanting tips. I've got a lot of seed money to invest, a little over 7mil. I'm working to get a Santa Hat or maybe a Green Hally Mask. Anyone have any tips, any would be greatly appreciated. Yeah that's what I was afraid of merchants not wanting to give out their secrets. Going to try maybe nats or pure ess and see where I can get with it. December 24, 200817 yr Best things to merchant in F2P would probably be God Armor, Pker items (Swordies, Lobbies, Scims, 2h's and Str Pots), and bulk runes/ore/gems/bars. Check the GE Database for those things, and see if the prices are going up :lol:
December 24, 200817 yr I did rune plates rune 2h and rune legs. It wasn't fast but it wasn't slow. I bought at minimum when the prices were going down. I sold at max when they were going up. Nats are harder to do IMO. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
December 24, 200817 yr yea we usually dont like to give tips haha but here is one i do sometimes i buy str pots 10 gp above min and sell them 10 gp below max, if u do this with couple mil i.e. 10m+ u make decent cash :thumbsup:
December 24, 200817 yr F2P Merchanting went to H E double-hockey sticks after the trade restrictions. Before that, I made about 3mil standing in banks or the GE saying, 'Spending 3mil!' People would sell me their stuff at rock-bottom prices and I would sell it at rediculously high prices and wait for some rich idiot t come and buy it. Best ones: Bought Guthix Plate for 235k, sold for 768k. Bought Str Ammy (t) for 100k, sold for 1.2mill. F2P Forever--Members have way too much time on their hands.

Those are predictable and usually happen after a big update: Update -> Massive rise -> Crash back to old value -> Go back up a bit -> Down a bit -> Up a small bit -> Down a small bit -> Stabilize a bit above the old value. Crashing: Buy min, sell under market Going down: buy a tiny bit above min, sell a bit under market Stable: buy a bit under min, sell a bit over market Going up: Buy market, sell above market Going through the roof: no profit to be made. This works best with armor sets because you can sell within a minute of buying, whereas for for non-set items you have to wait 4 hours. Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you.
