Oo'glog Teleport Miniquest

Oo'Glog Teleport

This construction update will have a pun-filled, enterprising miniquest of an idea, to bring the positive marketing technologies of the mythical variety to enact positive reinforcement. Yep, you're going to have more headaches.

The miniquest is simple - The woman from the Resort quest has an idea - why not have a teleport spot at the Spa? That would certainly bring in more business, and Wizards could just kip in and spend their money whenever they want. So, remembering your work in piecing together Clarence, she recruits you to bring the wizards and tell you to get the spot already!

You go to the wizards, explain what you want, and eventually they tell you that while they'd love that teleport spot, they don't have the technology to punch a hole in the abyss. You realize that you know someone who does, and therefore you go and see the Zamorak Mage in the Wilderness, who directs you to Varrock to talk to him.

You talk to him, and he is interested. He promises to help, but only if the spa is declared a neutral spot. You go back to the Spa, and get her agreement. Then you go to the Wizard guild, and they agree that they won't start any feuds with dark wizards. You go back to the Zamorak mage, and he gives you a teleport anchor, and sends you to ZMI to get it charged. They charge it for you, and send one of their recruits to watch it being put up - of course, he's eager to get to a spa on paid holiday time.

Then, the Ogresses all want to watch you do your "Shiny Shiny," so they all gather, and the crystal triumphantly ... explodes. Everyone wonders, and the ZMI guy is quick to explain that it worked. All you have to do now is to try to teleport. He offers to try to figure out which runes you need, and promptly vanishes.

The next is a humorous cutscene of him ending up teleporting all over the world, similar to My Arm's adventure. He teleports to Falador, where he's chased by the white knights. He teleports to ardougne - paladin attack. He teleports even to Ape Atoll, where the monkeys attack him. Eventually, he teleports back to the Spa, panting.

The reward for this miniquest is the obvious Oo'glog teleport, as well as the ability to make a Oo'glog portal in your house. The Oo'glog teleport requires 80 magic (Yes, that high.), and takes two law runes and 10 air runes. Miniquest complete!

I like the idea of small miniquests to get interesting pieces of content, and the Oo'glog teleport seems like a very useful addition that we could get. It's a high level update, but it's optional - so those who don't want to do it don't have to. It also involves the Zamorak Mage in the wilderness, and anything involving the abyss has always been a miniquest. The last cutscene also came out of a funny vision I had of a young dark wizard being chased, cartoon-style, through various cities on the map. It would definitely fit the humorous tone of both the Jade Vine quest series and the Resort quest.

Is it that hard to charter ship to the place?

No, but there's nothing wrong with adding a high-leveled and optional teleport there... I would still charter ship there due to my low magic level, but I support the idea.

When I see people say it, I pronounce it "poon" in my head. Makes more sense to me. My friend said it in real life once and I almost kneed him in the family-maker.

Good idea, but I doubt people without the mage req. would bother spending all that money to level just to teleport to Oo'glog (I wouldn't), when you can just take a boat for cheaper. Since you don't really Skill or engage in Combat with teleports, it's just a random high level spell.

Only fear God,

Know the weapons of the weak,

The weakness of the hard.
