Schoolies plans?

Hey.

It may be bit early for this kind of topic, but what are your schoolies plans? I've heard schoolies are some kind of a road trip to a cottage during the Summer holidays, spending like a week or so there, while doing all kinds of crazy stuff, like getting drunk, and er-

While doing all kinds of crazy stuff with your friends, enjoying life, summer, and all those things together.

I've seen some responses here and there, but never seen a whole thread about schoolies. We do not have them officially here in Czech rep., but me and my five friends are planning one big road trip to one of our best beaches. A trip American Pie and Offspring style. However, one of my friends tells me "What to do there"? I think the answer is pretty obvious, you always find something, but he may be right - we'd better have a plan of what to do.

We aren't associal, but the "better have a good program" is a thing better be taken seriously, we don't want to end up all day watching TV!

So basically:

What are your plans for the schoolies

and

What things could a band of 6 17 yr old dudes do so no one is bored?

All ideas accepted and Thanks for replies,

Try something new perhaps, preferable something you guys never would have thought of. Also try deciding things at the last minute, have no concrete plans. (That's what I want to do with a group of mates one day.) Also, I am sorry if it not the sort of thing you were after as I haven't seen American Pie or Offspring, nor do I have any intention to.

Hehe. The american Pie and offspring were just metaphores, meaning nothing significant at all. The meaning of the road trip stays the same as described.

Idk, we are a bit afraid of last minute planning since we may not figure anything out ( which I doubt, but hey ). However, it may prove to be a good idea after all.

I've always thought it was a waste of time, never got in to it. But if I were to be in to schoolies I would probably rent a hotel room for the night/weekend/week and get everyone who was staying to chip in. That way we could go across to the beach, club, socialise, go shopping, go for a swim and anyone who wanted to pike it or have an early night could go back to the hotel room. This is just my view point but I wouldn't bring people back to the room or encourage binge drinking or you could be up for some really expensive dry cleaning bills. Been there done that :x Broke a lamp, stained their couch and carpet, caused noise complaints, someone dropped a bottle over the side of the balcony. Then because I paid for it all, I was up for the bill. Make sure the people you take are mature. Or you're going to learn very quickly who isn't invited next time around.

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

My English teacher is bringing my class to Prague for 5 days, and we're allowed do whatever is legal there. So basically it's going to be a massive piss-up, strip clubs, nightclubs and pubs trip.

Me and my friends are going camping at Ireland's biggest music festival, probably top 3 biggest in Europe, definitely top 5. It's going to be amazing, 5 days 4 nights of drink, recreational drugs and some of the best bands out there.

Other than that, nothing I know of, there is talk of going to Wales for an overnight, basically hop on any Ferry going to Wales and see what happens.

What usually makes for an unplanned and fun trip is to go to your nearest bus terminus with tent, sleeping bag and a [cabbage] load of drink / money. Hop on the first bus you see listed heading towards either a beach, big forest or mountains and go there for a couple of nights. Last time we did it we ended up on the south west coast of Ireland, and it was [bleep]ing amazing!

Unplanned trips are always great.

My friends did that last year, unfortunatly i couldn't go. But this year they're doing it again but somewhere else. Most of my friends have their drivers license already so there isn't really a limit. We're going to rent a house for a week and just party hardcore :).

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.
