basiliko
A few days ago someone from a game community forum advertised this link: http://www.prizerebel.com/ He claimed that this site is creditable and does not require any personal information except an email address. All a person has to do is to sign up and fill out the surveys provided by the site's sponsors. Some posters (mostly famous or mods in that forum) supported that person's claim and said that they have earned enough points to buy game cards (Runescape, Maple Story, etc) without paying a single penny. Others said this site is a scam site filled with cooking grabbers. The views on the Prize Rebel's creditably is split between, maybe they are jealous or the other way around, but who knows? I signed up and finds that the Prize Rebel only asks for an email account upon initial sign up (which I used a spoof account instead). I earned enough points to buy a Runescape card (costs 10 points), but I wont dare to use the card's code, fearing that it might be a hidden scam. But my only questions are: 1. Is this site a scam site? 2. If so, then how does it scam without asking for any personal information (i.e. Social Security Id, Credit Card number, etc) other than Email address. 3. If this site is trustworthy, then how does one earn high enough points (I can only get points 2-3 days after I filled the surveys) Please, I need someone who actually used this site to clear these questions for me before I use it further. BlueLancer
You can discuss it's safety but removed the referral ID in case you just tried to indirectly advertise it (no offense) It's probably not a scam though, a lot of those sites have viable business models through the ads they display... I wouldn't enter any personal details there, just give them the minimum required (possibly make up a fake name, and create a new email as well to avoid future spam)
Sbrideau
http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/prizerebel.com Good place to look at is WoT, I think a lot of people that rates the site has used it.
BlueLancer
Yep, exactly why I'd strongly recommend making a new email address for signing up to stuff like this. It seems to be paying out but you can see where most of the complaints come from... Expect to get massive spam because they will sell your email in a larger, compiled list to other advertisers. Sam
It's US only  If you aren't in the US it's a load of bull. If you did register, it won't give you spam, dubious as the site may look. So if anyone is wondering, the site is fine but it's only good if you live in the US. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
IGoddessI
I have a fake email account that I signed up to over 100 survey sites, only 2 I considered legit. So odds aren't in your favour but I wouldn't throw in the towel unless you think it's worthless. There would have been 3 but when I got up to $60.00 and asked them to post my cheque to me, it never came and nobody will answer my emails. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
