There are a few methods that actually make money as you train. If you have lunar magic using humidify on vials (especially if you make vials) or plankmake on teaks is a way to make money (if you cut your logs). Depending on what you high alch you'll also make money, again especially if you make what you alch. Finally, superheat can make money with iron especially.

All in all the take home message is that getting items yourself is a great way to make or at least save money. Obviously making runes would solve your problem, but getting your own stuff to use magic on can not only save you money but can make you money too.

I see that you've said you're going to farm ranarrs. To make more profit from farming I would actually suggest farming toadflax. A clean toadflax sells for ~2.3k and the seeds are about 400gp each. You'll make a profit even if 3/4 herbs die. You can easily farm 100+ toadflax a day using 4 patches(5 if you have done My Arm's Big Adventure).

Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.

Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?

Before I say anything else, nice slayer level! :thumbup:

Just asking, are you sure you want to craft nats? Why not craft laws as soon as you can, and then switch to double cosmics? (laws need eadgar's ruse, which gives harmless herblore exp. For cosmics, idk.) Nats aren't really worth doing anymore. Graahk crafting made nats even worse money.

For farming, stick with ranarrs. I average 5.8 herbs per seed, taking into account the seeds that die. I personally tested 210 seeds for the data, and I used supercompost, no magic secateur, and no amulet of nature. You'll get an average of 14K gp profit from each seed. Stick with ranarrs, stick with ranarrs, stick with ranarrs. At least until you get to snapdragons.

Pest control is "broken" in the sense that you don't have to spend runes to get mage exp. Besides, you should break even if you stick with fire strike :lol:

Fist of Guthix also gives free runes ;) But do it for fun, not for the tokens or the exp.

Then again, the elemental wizards south of Fally are always good afk mage exp.

MTA has decent rewards. But Infi armor isn't worth what it used to be, and the glory days of MTA are over.

Do MTA enchantment part.Yes, I am aware that by doing only this arena you won't get any rewards, except for the mage xp.

From lvl 87 onwards(onyx enchantment), the gp/xp ratio is 1.99 .You can trade in the points for more cosmics,5points/cosmic.At the full quota of points(16k) you get 3.2k cosmics back.Considering the fact that you also get bonus points, when the bonus item becomes one of the items that you enchant I'd say that you get even more cosmics, thus having to spend less.

Calculations:

55,051 Enchant Level 5 Jewellery 58.5 per ->for level 87

124,480 Enchant Level 6 Jewellery 72.8 per->for level 99

~180k cosmicsx145=26.1m

Although as I said, at 16k points(roughly 16k enchants) you will get 3.2k cosmics back.That's 36k cosmics less needed.

144k cosmicsx145=20.8m

You will need even less cosmics due to bonus points.

Btw,I'm going to use MTA for 99 mage myself, so I know what I'm talking about <3:

Have fun :thumbsup:
