January 10, 200917 yr Smithing doesn't have to be super-slow to be expensive. You can average 50k+ XP per hour and make decent money, around 100k per hour using good smithing methods once you reach level 88 and can make addy plates. And that's without using any tools from Stealing Creation. It's worth it to buy your way to level 88, or do mith bolts even though they are pretty slow and just OK money wise. But from then on, it's a waste to do something like buy gold ore to smelt, or premade bars to smith. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
