sir_bubbabob
You will get less nests with eucalyptus than with teaks. The higher the level of the tree, the longer it will take you to get a nest drop. Teak is a lower level tree than eucalyptus. Chopping trees will produce 2 items, nests and logs. For example (figures are guestimates, not scientific) , after chopping teaks for 5 minutes you will have accumulated 40 items. Choppin the higher level eucalyptus for 5 minutes you will have accumulated 30 items. Most or all of these items will be logs. But since the teak is producing more items, over time teak will produce considerably more nests than eucalyptus. Once again these figures are not time tested, just rough numbers to explain why teaks produce more nests. If you are looking to increase your nest drops then training on willows or maples are excellent choices.
purewcnub
If you want nests then a good idea would be to MTK, put 10 workers on maples, 5 on raw fish You'll get good profit and plenty of nests. If you are already doing/don't want to MTK, then I'd suggest willows for bird's nest. Don't forget a strung rabbit's foot, it increases nest drop rates. Sam
Yeah, Manage Thy Kingdom would be the best way if you are wanting nests, if you employ a few workers to chop tress for you. Concerning the eucalyptus, it's pretty fast and I think it could earn you a bit of money, but I'm not sure if there is a market for it. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
Orly_Owl
I thought the base idea was that the OP wanted good xp and money, and possibly wanted nests for say, god bird eggs, etc? If so, keep the MTK on the normal setup (if you do it) and change woodcutting styles a bit. P.S. I didnt know trees lower leveled dropped more nests.. How does that work out? :

It usually can sell instantly at market, and sometimes at max. A good number of players use them for Firemaking. How does that work out? : Just based on the fact that you get logs faster from lower leveled trees, which results in you getting more nests in the same period of time than with higher leveled trees. Orly_Owl
I wouldve thought that because a tree is a higher level, it would have more chance of giving a nest anyway. Oh well. :)
