jrrush
anyone know a really good setup i got 85 range? and what bolts thnks.
Orly_Owl
Well, you wanna have strong bolts, a bit of defence and nice range attack. Personally, I go cheap and use broad bolts, black dhide body and legs, addy full helm, addy boots addy kite, a power ammy and my accumulator. Thats me, cause im cheap :P Anyway, probably poison bolts until the spec comes in, and then kick into ruby (e) Armour i have no idea.
jrrush
wait haha i didnt get that i got like 10 mil what again lol posion bolts never herd of those :(
baileydafrog
are ruby (e) really worth it? the max it can hit on a person is erm . . . 33? i think it was a third, not too sure, that's only with 99HP and full health (i know with boosters hp can be higher so slightly bigger hit but useless with pk), i prefer diamond bolts to do the damage if even that
Orly_Owl
I was thinking of emerald e for poison bolts >.
baileydafrog
poison ones are emerald (e), well, unless you want to waste poison on regular bolts, but emerald are what people use :) it's a special effect which happens at random to poison them, same with all (e) bolts, doesn't happen every hit, though the poison works as normal when it works
jrrush
max hit with diamond is diamond better than dragon?
baileydafrog
no but dragons a tad expensive if you die, it hits higher and ignores range defence with the spec
jrrush
so diamond is best?
Orly_Owl
No.. The diamond effect comes in less than the ruby, maxes like 2 more, and costs a few hundred gp more for a load etc
baileydafrog
not really, if they have 3hp and you spec 1hp it is kinda pointless, not to mention the fact you take damage each time it happens, rubys only real use is with monsters with a few hundred hp, not pking
n00bfiterpk6
technically best range set up for pvp is maxed ranged bonus using onyx e bolts.

Orly_Owl
*Thought people knew how ruby e bolts work* Poison with emerald e, use ruby to 1/4th hp and broad/mith to 0?
baileydafrog
is onyx spec better than dragon spec on the dark bow can be? never bothered investing in one
baileydafrog
but after like 60hp a spec is a max of 20, which surely diamond can hit higher than all the way to 0, never mind goin all the way to 33hp
awesome400
technically best range set up for pvp is maxed ranged bonus using onyx e bolts. expensive but you can heal yourself with the spec and they hit hard :P 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P

bronzewarrior
how about rune bolts, they are relatively cheap compared to months ago. they will never go below 600 gp :shame: (if they are now then i guess the rule is broken :anxious: ). 2nd troll to 840+ post count.
