Help! New card not working... :(

Well, I recently bought a MSI geforce 6600gt.

When I plug it into my computer, it doesn't work. I hear all the normal noises of my system booting up, however, no picture shows up on my monitor. The fan on the card runs when I plug the card in the agp (4x) slot, but not when I connect the Molex connector.

What should i do??

The molex connector you're using, if it's a splitter take the splitter off and use one from a CD/DVD-ROM straight from the PSU. Try that if not I recommend taking it back to wherever you got it.

Yeah, the cables are plugged in alright, and to make sure it wasn't a power supply issue, I took a connector from a cd drive. The fan on the card spins, but still, no display. I think it's posting now, because i can hear a bleep... :(

THe card is agp 8x...but shouldn't it be backwards compatible?

Yeah I checked straight away, supposedly the 6600GT works perfectly on 4x AGP. Weird, like I said you might want to take/send it back to where you got it. Either that or if you have a friend that'd allow you to try the card out in their machine to see if it actually works.
