The_Gabe
Is getting your butler to unnote planks or get planks from bank faster? Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

tripsis
Unnoting - you go through less dialogue. Plus it allows you to easily keep track of your progress since you can see how many planks you have left. It's a nice way to keep track of things. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
ultimatballr
Having the butler is miles faster. Since by the time you finish building and removing the larders (2 per invent if I remember correctly) your butler is standing right next to you with the unnoted planks waiting to be taken. Then you send him back out... Build, Remove, Build, Remove... and hes standing right beside you again with some planks for you to use. Very efficient. Apparently, my signature was to big. I'm pretty sure he intended to use a butler in both situations. He just wanted to know if it was quicker to ask your butler to unnote planks, or if it was quicker to send your butler to the bank to retrieve them for you. I don't think the OP was going to actually go walk to the bank himself. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
The_Gabe
Also, is using regular butler or demon butler better for this job? tripsis
Also, is using regular butler or demon butler better for this job? I have heard people say that using a regular butler is just as efficient as the demon butler, but I have personally only ever used the demon butler so I can't really vouch for that claim. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Demon Butler can carry 24 items to and from the bank in 5 seconds Normal Butler can do 20 in 10 seconds. Depending upon how fast or slow you go, that may make a big difference or it may not. If you go as fast as possible and don't want to waste any time, demon is faster. Otherwise I'm sure normal would suffice. If you stand there and make a full inventory of larders, then sit around while the butler fetches more for you, you're going to lose time. But if you time it so that the butler is away while you're still building, it won't make a difference. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

tripsis
But wouldn't the demon butler stop you in the middle and the regular butler comes in time? Again, it depends on how you time it. For example, the way I trained construction, I was never standing around waiting for my butler to return, and he was rarely - if ever - waiting for me. I think I would build two larders while the butler was away and finish off the third while he walked towards me. Something like that anyway.. You have to be pretty fast to time it right though. I haven't actually done this in over a year so I'll have to try it out again and maybe experiment with the regular butler to see which I like better. Either way, my method was getting me over 200k xp an hour at times so I'm pretty content with it. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
