Buy something from the Ticket Exchange in the Ranging Guild. None 40 Ranged, 140 archery tickets

Speak to the Ticket Merchant in the building west of the guild entrance. He sells various wares but his cheapest item (barbed boltips) costs 140 tickets.

I bought a coif for 100 tickets which is the cheapest item. I hadn't read ahead and dropped my tickets, was annoyed to find I'd have to get more to guy an item.

Use a familiar to make a maple fire within Seers' Village. Wolf Whistle 45 Firemaking, 46 Summoning, maple log, pyrelord pouch

Summon a pyrelord, then use maple log on it to start a fire on the streets of Seers' Village.

You may use a Forge Regent for this also if you dont have a pyrelord.

Also on the excalibur reward you may wish to note it doesnt directly heal but rather heals you by 4 per second for 5 seconds.

One thing i've not been able to get a confirmation of yet is just how much (%) it boosts defense by compared to the old excalibur

Some others...

Your mention of the prayer altar task should include that you must have less than full prayer points when praying to get credit.

You do not actually have to create anything from the churn, just click to make something (anything) with milk, butter, or cream in your inventory...if you click to move away from the churn after the animation starts, you still get credit.

The task for the candle maker says "Trade him" when it should probably just say "buy a candle from him" or say "select the trade option" or even "trade with him" instead.

You should mention that the coal does not have to be mined at the coal mine...just deposited there, which would allow for someone to take a beast of burden and a full inventory of coal and complete it without mining in a couple of trips.

The earth elemental must be a free roaming one and not one that starts attacking when "mined" in the mine.

You correctly mention that a person must use a regular longbow, but you left out that prayer of any kind is okay...I only mention it because the listing for the task is quite in depth (so it's not as if you're leaving the player to their own devices) and shouldn't mention something about how many arrows (when that's something a player will easily find out on their own). I might also mention that a bow and arrows can be bought downstairs, or alternatively that any bow and arrow can be used to weaken the tower guards (yourself) but you must strike the killing blow with a regular longbow.

The tickets (1k of them) do not have to even be on your person. Many of mine were in the bank when I got credit for them.

As the previous post mentioned, it doesn't have to be a pyrelord...just a creature that can light fires...so the forge regent would work (though it may require a higher summoning level).

I'm pretty sure you have to cook the bass successfully IN Catherby.

I cut my five yews in the garden area of the church while using a protect prayer to drain m prayer below full and got credit...that area will work as well.

You don't have to say teleport back to Zanaris...just mention that you have to teleport from MacGrubors not TO MacGrubors wood to get credit.

The magic log fire doesn't have to be started on the street. That mention makes it confusing and dangerous...just within the town proper or within steps of the bank would be more clear.

The magic shortbow can be noted.

Any mention of cooking should include SUCCESSFULLY cook.

It says take your headband to...but do players have to wear the headband to get their daily flax or just have it in the inventory...I was wearing mine, so I don't know if it could be gained in any other way.

These are a few observations and some of them I included in a post in the help and advice forum:

One more thing...the headband didn't seem to work on my maple tree that I planted...so perhaps player planted trees don't get the benefit...not to mention...what about maple trees in other places? Is it just for those in Seer's village?

H8 Catch five sharks in Catherby. None 76 Fishing, harpoon

On Catherby beach, click the correct harpoon fishing spot and catch 5 sharks. Save for next task.

You can eat an admiral pie for assistance in completing this task if your level is not quite there yet. \'

H9 Cook five sharks in Catherby using the cooking gauntlets. Family Crest 80 Cooking, 5 raw sharks, cooking gauntlets

Wearing the cooking gauntlets from the Family Crest quest, cook five sharks. If you currently have goldsmithing or chaos gauntlets, Caleb (in house north of archery shop) will change them too cooking gauntlets for a fee of 25K gp.

The Chef's Delight boost does not seem to count when completing this task. I cooked the required number of sharks successfully with the boost from the delight but I did not get credit for the task. Tried twice to confirm. Was in Catherby and wearing the cooking gauntlets at the time. :wall:

SportsGuy - in a separate post a player reported that the magic shortbow could not be noted for alching. Did you do it noted yourself? Need to be absolutely sure.

mamaodella - several players reported trouble getting credit for the cooking task, and most of them were not using a boost. It has been theorised that one or the other range needed to be used, but results from people who succeeded varied. Jagex HAS been allowing players to use boosting pots/ales. Please let us know if you try again.

Tritous - thanks for posting about the coif and Excalibur, credited!

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

That's how I did it...noted shortbow.

That task is crossed out on my list, but I wouldn't have any clue why it worked for me and not for someone else.
