I_S1n
Ok..so I've been doing the stupid minigame Temple Trekking for the past 5 days now..I'm sure I have completed around 150-200 trips. I'm after the full Lumberjack costume of course, and I've gotten the lumberjack event 25 times so far....only to be rewarded with 13 Boots, 7 Legs, and 5 hats....I am beyond annoyed at this...I just want to get the stupid freakin shirt so i can go back to wcing. :wall: Anybody have some helpful advice or anything? For the majority of my time spent trekking i took the Easy people (ones who are harder to kill (aka dude in rune/girl in mystic)) and I used Route 2. But, after seeing some dude's rad wcign guide he said to do Route 1 with the nooby people. So I've been trying that and still..no shirt. and the rewards are lamer than when i did route 2 with the good dudes and im wasting almost the same amount of time. Does it matter what people i take or what route i choose? This is completely and utterly preposterous. Any helpful advice is welcome. AlexDT
Yes, getting full Lumberjack does take a while. You're just having some bad luck, you'll get a shirt eventually. Oh, this may not be as motivating, but the in time you've spent getting the lumberjack set, you could have gained more exp than the set will save you. I_S1n
honestly, i dont care about the xp, ive been wanting to get it just to have it for a few months now. but its so annoying that jagex makes it all [developmentally delayed]ed to get. Assassin1357
I have close to 50 pieces of lumberjack clothing ( most obtained after the drop rate change when it first came out) and I still have no top. I have done at least 250-300 trips. I don't do it for the exp, I do it because I want an outfit to wear while wc but I guess jagex just doesn't want me to have it. SportsGuy
I did it and got all the pieces without ever getting more than two of each. It's random. I chose the easiest route with the toughest-to-protect (weakest) follower. I would average a piece of clothing every three trips (that's back and forth). Sometimes I made it through without even having one event. Sometimes I had three or four. You COULD try "running" from the first event you come across, which would make you have to have more events (I think). I actually like the minigame. A couple of tips would be to make sure you load up on druid pouches, because those ghasts seem to take three or four of those pouches when you encounter them and you can't advance until you beat them. If you can't seem to get them to appear, you can "use" the pouch on them to make them attackable. For the nail beasts, make sure you only attack one at a time...in every case, make sure to advance slowly. Bring a snelm or the snails will decimate you...and again, walk slowly and make sure you take all the "heat" for your follower. I also made sure that I stayed as long as I could at each bridge event...if you cross the bridge and then go back over, you may get more lumberjacks to appear and be able to kill them. They WON'T drop another piece that trip, but I felt like it might be tied to a counter, so I tried to kill as many as I could each trip. You can buy snails in Burgh de Rott to top off your follower food if you need to...or just kill them when you top off your prayer at the Nature Grotto (because I used prayer every other trip or so). One more tip...when you have to face the challenge to kill snails and feed the sick campers, kill as many snails as you can before lighting the fire to cook and feed them...(you might even use a piece of your own personal food if you have to)...then always feed from the sickest to the healthiest... I_S1n
yeah sports guy i knew all of that already...like i said ive been playing the minigame for 5 days, it's easy to get the hang of. just the drop rates for the items are remedial. i will try out killing more lumberjacks though, maybe it is tied to a counter.
