The_dmt1234
i personally don't care about post counts but a lot of people do and if post counts are added into the PVP forum it may help make DMR a bit more active.....we have maybe 5 regulars... ]
Kill_Life
Postcount won't help how active it is. Rate this doesn't give postcount and it's active. The people who are interested post there, sadly, not many are involved in Pking. But I'd rather have a small group of people who are interested in it then a whole bunch of people who only post there for some postcount. Graveyard hasn't been the same after Wilderness pking was removed :( "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]
compfreak847
You really want an invasion of idiots who post one line semi relevant\literate posts just so they can tack another post onto their post count? Jimmyw3000
Just do away with postcounts completly tbh. Or keep them hidden so only you (and supermods/admins) can see them.
obfuscator
Good idea in theory, but people won't come just for post count. The wars and run ins board in clan discussion gives post count, and 95% of the post say "good fight" or "good luck". As others have said, the removal of the wildy killed that board. tripsis
Just do away with postcounts completly tbh. Or keep them hidden so only you (and supermods/admins) can see them. There was a poll about whether post count should be removed or not a few years ago and the majority wanted it to stay so... :P I don't think post count will affect the forum at all. At the most it would just get more people to say, "Good job" or other one-liner comments. It won't affect user involvement at all. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

compfreak847
Post counts don't even matter... -.- That's like saying: Every time you do your homework you get a high - five :wall: They do. Say what you want about stereotypes, quality over quantity , blah blah blah, but the fact remains - higher postcount = more posts, more time, and general more reliable. I'll take the advice of a trusted 4k+ post count member over a 40 post count chicken feather any day. I'll take the advice of a person who joined in 2006 with a lower amount of posts (because people are lazy, or some threads don't deserve posts) over someone else who joined in 2009 with a higher amount of posts. Oh, and allowing post counts on the PVP forums doesn't really matter.. since people aren't asking for help - it's usually just a rate or a good job. Oh, and allowing post counts on the PVP forums doesn't really matter.. since people aren't asking for help - it's usually just a rate or a good job. That's true, but almost never. The 2006 will basically always have more post, and I almost never look at join date. Like it or not, all the 3k+ posters I know are quality posters with a few rare exceptions. Not saying lower post counts aren't, but the lower you go the less thought provoking you get. The_dmt1234
er...well that's a shame, any ideas to increase pvp activity, i don't care about pking or help and advice just the pvp i already put a link in my sig dunno if that has had much of an effect ]
RSBDavid
Those who want to go there and post will and those who don't, won't. Tip.it doesn't have a big PKer audience like other fansites. I look for quality posts, not the count of the poster. I think the post count set-up is fine as it is.
