February 1, 200917 yr I'm messing with my ranger pure atm, and i feel like killing some cockroaches...but it's been so long since i've been down here and i forgot if there were any safespots. :S Are there? 99 Firemaking-Quest Cape-99 Cooking Dragon Skirt x3, Dragon Legs x2, Dragon Med Helm x1, Black Mask x1
February 1, 200917 yr I have seen people safe spot them, but it seems like a real pain to do so. You could always train range on Ice Giants and Ice Warriors. There are a ton of safe spots in the Ice Caves or whatever they are called. You know the place there where you get blurite.

February 1, 200917 yr You can safe spot with range, and there is a pretty good guide somewhere on training in the Ice Caves. I looked through AoW and did not notice it there. Is there a certain spot where guides that are not in AoW are tucked away, or are they more or less just scattered through various boards? I found there were at least twice as many safe spots as the guide showed. I personally found it better to just deal with the Ice Warriors and not worry about Ice Giants till they quit auto attacking. That is gonna be the trickiest part, figuring how to block them. It wasn't to difficult for me though. I know you asked about Cockroach Soldiers. I have never tried them because the people I saw doing it looked like it was just to much trouble. Maybe someone knows about the guide for Ice Cave range training and will be kind enough to post a link to it, or you could always search for it I guess. I suppose it is possible it may not exist anymore.

I don't see where you're going with this... The point is, it's as irrelevant whether you can safespot a creature with a ranged attack as it is whether you can sneeze with your eyes open, because the creature in question uses only melee. And yes, there are safe spots. The ones on the bottom floor, for example, can be blocked pretty easily on the staircases. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
February 1, 200917 yr thats cuz most people dont ask about safe spotting WORKERS most threads are about the SOLDIERS more of common sense though... 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
February 1, 200917 yr Cockroaches actually have a ranged attack, but when I have seen people safe spotting them they were not using the ranged attack. It seems, best I remember, these people were trapping them on an outside corner on the walls. It also looked as if it was taking to much time to do it for it to be a viable training method. At least that is my opinion.
February 1, 200917 yr Well, this thread happens to be about the workers, and as it happens, they're fairly easy to get in a safe spot. Examples: [hide=] [/hide] Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
February 2, 200917 yr For the workers, there are safespots all over the place. The best place is by the treasure room because there's three spawns close together; trap them on the wall that's sort of jutting out from the corner of one of the rooms. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
