Hey

I'm currently going for 99 cook, to trim my str cape, so as im about to run out of swordfish and need to go buy a new pile.

I'll be 89 when I'm done with these 20k, but then i was wondering when do you stop burning monks?

Cause i was thinking of doing these instead of swordies till 94 since they would save me a few k's to cook compared to swordies, and the little change in price won't bother me. But then, i don't wanna use monks if i still burn them once in a while..

I'm not an expert but last time I checked I didn't see a stop burning level for Monks...

And I'm not too sure there is... unless someone can verify there is I'd stay with Swordies or do a trial of a couple hundred Monks??

from my tests at 78-79 cooking

i burned 1 out of every 6 monks to 80 cooking

and without cooking gauntlets but i didnt think they would matter to monks

Even at 99 cooking you burn some monks, but rarely. Its best to just stick with swordies then change to sharks when you can.

So thats burning 4 or 5 monks per inventory... perhaps try using gauntlets and see if your results vary at all...

I am currently going for 99 cook as well and am using gauntlets... but with lobbies (only 75 right now) :wall: :wall:

I'm using gauntlets, but don't wanna be bothered to start testing burning rates, when i just wanna get 99 cook ASAP :b

90 - 94 with Monkfish (Cooking gauntlets have no effect on burn rates with Monkfish).

94-99 with Sharks (You won't burn one shark with cooking gauntlets.

Sounds like a plan good luck to you!!!

I'm at Rouge's Den, yes ;) (Feel free to pass by and say Hi if you're nearby, I'll be in world 67 if I'm online ;) )

And dunno about xp/hr. I'm just buying those I need and cook them, since i don't wanna know how long I have to sit and cook to get 99 :b

But I decided to go with swordies all the way to 94 and then sharks rest of the way...

Thank you for the answers guys (:
