The Dark Lord
Although I have never monster hunted (I want to though), I would have to say that luck is the best way to make money. Skilling is a nice, steady way to make money, but you can easily grow bored of the grinding. The cash is only good for making a few million GP. EDIT: I'm STRONGLY debating whether or not to sell my bandos chestplate to buy 90+ range for GWD. 13m (what i just sold mine for) can buy you 73-90+? if that's possible, sign me up!! I asked around on Help and Advice, and everyone keeps telling me that I need at least 80 ranged to be cash efficient with chinning at Ape Atoll. They said that I should buy iron knives and train at Yaks until 80. So I'm guessing that grey chinchompas should at least get you 100+ experience per chin. If that is true, I should get like 3M experience. That should get me into the neighborhood of the mid to upper-80s. If the Ape Atoll chinning guide in the AoW is correct, I should be getting more like 200-250 experience per chinchompa if I do it right and am like 85-90 ranged. Either way, it'll get you on up there. [/OT] Oh and if we get mid-90s Range, we should get somewhere close to 99 hitpoints (I think) by the time we get that final ranged level with our chins. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
Torlen
Luck is a major factor. I think that I have some of the worst luck on Runescape (6 years of playing and 1 dragon drop[med]) Try 7 years and only a dragon spear :) Whats your combat level, is that your rs name? Darksonic the original quote is only 25% of the way to max meele stats. In the grand scheme of things he hasn't even killed that much. He can train slayer and max out his meele stats and i bet he will make about 60m along the way. I had made enough for a prayer cape by the time i was 92 slayer. The longer you play (and actually play, meaning getting exp) the more cash you make. This guy here is right ^^ I try to explain that to some of my friends to no avail. They seem to think I'm lucky with drops, but in reality I have 140m combat xp compared to their 20-30m. You just have to play the numbers.
Demoli
Well, it mostly depends on luck, since you can get a hilt in 2 hours of gwd, or a shard in a month period. I think if people want a certain money goal, they stick to regular skilling, like runecrafting, as getting rich by monster drops is like feeding a 8 member family with a lotery bonus, you just can't. I still stick to farm and RC
