February 11, 200917 yr This is a pretty simple question. I use Hypercam for some vidding, and was wondering how to get a "High Quality" option on my videos, because it's nice to actually be able to see stuff in the video once it's uploaded. Right now whenever I upload something high quality, Youtube just compresses it into oblivion. :wall: How can I do this? ~Thanks in advance. Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3
February 12, 200917 yr well the quality have to be high to begin with. Then you can use " Any Video Converter" to convert it to a mpeg4 file with frame at least 640x480, you can go higher if you don't wanna upload for nothing just in case. the keep the option below that to 1500, and frame rate to 25-30. you upload that to youtube, it should show up as high quality. February 12, 200917 yr Author I think I just need to increase the framerate. I'm recording with Hypercam at 75% quality on a 1440 by 900 screen, but only at 10fps. Everything looks great, but it's not fast enough :( Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3
February 12, 200917 yr well, you are recording on a 1440x900 screen doesn't mean your video resolution is 1440x900. video resolution is how big it came up on your screen when you play it. I used frame instead resolution on my previous post, srry about that. But in order to let youtube see that it qualify for HQ video, the minimum is 640x400, and it cannot be any random resolution too( EX. 740x345). And yes, it was recording at almost 1440x900; 1436x824 (that might be the problem). Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3
February 15, 200917 yr The game needs to be recorded at 1280x720 resolution, so you'd need to change your screen size to accommodate or play in fullscreen. Bitrate doesn't matter, but you'll want windows media hd - 720p or xbox hd - 720p in WMM, as those two work best for quality in HD, and they use 16:9 as the final display in the file format. You need the file to display the video at 1280x720 or higher, with a 16:9 or 19:10. I followed this, and eventually I found that those two codecs are the best for HD from WMM: http://www.youtube.com/user/JQWrestling Very minor and different loss in quality.

I may try that out. Actually, though, I just recorded the full screen at 1440x900 and lowered the compression a bit, and Youtube now gives it a high quality option. I have a Hypercam question now too. I bumped the FPS from 10 to 24 to get Youtube to take it. Now, though, the videos are faster than normal, and look sped up. The playback is also at 24 FPS, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. :? Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3
