If you have them all the same level, then go ahead. It really means you spend time getting all 3 stats up instead of one, albeit at a slower pace, but you save the time from training them separately. Sorry if it's confusing.

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.

By training attack separately, you are able to reap the higher levels of accuracy sooner. Likewise with the less damage you'll take with high defence levels. Training on controlled will act as a jack of all trades, but does offer some strength xp.

You don't need much more than 85 defence for slayer as you have ample ways to heal/avoid damage.

I would get your strength to 90, the attack to 90. Then strength to 95 then attack to 95.

I then got my defence to 90, before taking strength and attack to 99.

As you can't train strength with a whip outside of controlled you will need a Sara Sword which is the best strength training weapon.
