February 15, 200917 yr have two marentill herbs and a tinderbox in your inventory. on each side of the alter there will be two post looking things. right click on them and it should say "light burner" ... then right click on the bones in your inventory and "use" them on the alter itself

February 15, 200917 yr Been a while but I think you can just use tinderbox on burners with the marrentil in your inventory. And you do actually have burners, right? They are not put there when you build the altar. You have to build them separately. Two completely different objects.
