Did you ever login to a Runescape link someone gave you saying it would give you money/join an elite clan etc? Could have been a phised site (steals pass, looks like RS). The most likely is you downloaded a keylogger, so running a virus scan or two should be top priority. As for the recovery, I think you have to wait an hour after entering your recoveries to get your pass. I can't remember why that is but probably a security measure. tomtunney Posted February 21, 2009 Author Share Posted February 21, 2009 nope always been wise to phishers havent downloaded anything for runescape apart from off runescape so ive really got no idea how they cracked my password.... im guessing its someone close to me as thats the only sort of person who could of guessed it but even then it was a hard password...
