My Runescape "quitting" video got taken down because I used a song by Thrice

In fact, the entire account got taken down, good thing I created a new account just for that video. Seriously though, why would they take down an account because of a video with less then 100 views?

Here you go, a great video on the copyright crap http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ug6euUPrLRc

Yes, this is a very good video.

This guy expresses exactly what's been on my mind as well.

However, even if the entire population of the world agrees with him, that isn't gonna change things.

Does anyone know another site, similar to YT where people can upload videos and which is not so nazi? Or better said - not as well-known as YT for the Big Guys to bother with it?

There is a new law in New Zealand that will make ISPs cut off customers' internet connection if the customer is suspected of illegally downloaded movies/music etc. It starts this week I think (been postponed for some reason)... Why oh why.. :wall:

I wonder if watching Youtube counts as wrongfully downloading things. :S

Sweet Jesus :o

Sometimes I don't realise how few laws the UK seems to have about internet regulation. (If they do have more, then I think I've just been ignoring them).

Well that article is talking about Britain possibly introducing the law I think. But they really have brought in that law for New Zealand. :(

Oh God I'm going to die. :? :?

Well there's Dailymotion which is becoming an alternative to YT. Then there's your Veoh, Megavideo, Vimeo. Thing is most of these sites are just used for anime episodes or tv shows.

I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator].

I have like 60 videos on YouTube. I would have 89, but 29 have been removed because I've infringed on third-party rights.

Yea, great. Thanks for letting me broadcast myself.

Honestly, they won't enforce it much at all...

But still sucks, I'm getting my downloading done quick :P

Doomy edit: I like sheep
