March 3, 200917 yr wow..scary thought if you mean 'we' as in the majority of players (10 year old 'leet' pkers/price manipulators) then i agree but as long as the mature minority keep playing though, we should be okay  i hope  You only live twice. Once when you are born and once when you look death in the face. Do not fear Death. Death is always at our side. When we show fear, it jumps at us faster than light. But, if we do not show fear, it casts its eye upon us gently and then guides us into infinity...
March 3, 200917 yr This could actually make an interesting debate.... You're wasting your time if you're looking for an interesting debate on real world trading on tif. OT - Jagex is doing a pretty good job deteriorating the game on their own. They're running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to fix problems that don't need fixing while they should be focusing on the content that does need to be fixed (or finished). Even if they are gonna waste their time fixing things that don't need fixing, the least they could do is do it right. May the presents of our lord and savior, Santa, be with you this holiday season!First annual Clausmas - 2009 December 25
March 3, 200917 yr I agree with the post above just not the baseball thing because it's a fail sport :o , but at the end of the day it's a very small percentage who abuse bugs there are alot of hard working honest players out there This, especially the baseball part. LOL. This could take a while.
March 3, 200917 yr Author I think what I've been trying to get at is: Will the insistance to cheat in this game eventually be the "downfall" of Runescape, should it ever happen. Many people think that since the Wilderness, Free Trade and Dueling were removed, Runescape is "dead". I find this really stupid because Runescape is even more fun, what with big quests coming and a new skill (or so I've heard). Sure some aspects are gone.
March 4, 200917 yr Uhm, I just fail to see how buying things with real life money is bad? Because it's cheating... Uhm and who says it's cheating? Really this is just a circular argument it's bad because it is bad.... Really arguing with that makes no sense at all. Look at another very popular game: second life, that really BUILD around buying goods ingame with real life money! - And it's pretty succesfull, and I haven't heard of any problems ever with it. (though it's not my type of game...) I can think of a reason why it's bad alraedy: the high scores wouldn't really show dedication, but instead someone with huge amounts of money would be able to get himself up fast. - However then the question arises, what is the goal of this game? - Is it to rank yourself as high as possible (if that's the goal then indeed, RWT is a bad thing from principles already).. Or should the focus be more minded towards the actual GAMEPLAY? (in which case RWT can only be good, since it prevents doing things you think is boring, while it allows for others to do it still)... This could actually make an interesting debate.... Rule = Don't RWT because it gives you an unfair advantage over other people Rule = Don't macro because it gives you an unfair advantage over other people Breaking the rules = cheating I fail to see what you're getting at... ~It's Super Effective!
