I asked my friend if deleting things that you dont need make your computer run faster (not on the internet). He said no..

Is this true? It always seemed to work out for me.

If its not true, shall I delete 2 of my browsers that I use and use one?

And should I delete all pictures i dont need every week or so? O_o

I dont need a siggy no moar.

No need to remove browsers and pictures.

Programs that you don't use and runs in the background is the ones you could remove, iTunes helper for example. But you can't terminate things like "svchost" etc.

If you need more space, then i guess you could remove pictures and other things.

Its a weird one.

Programs, generally less will result in quicker loading (less ram usage, smaller registry and less start up item).

Data, if your getting close to filling the harddrive then yes deleting your files will speed up your PC (since it allows more room for swap space). If you've got a lot of files in one folder then that folder will load up quicker but generally your PC will perform quicker.

Deleting browser cache, well it can make it slower since you have to re-cache all the files again.
