depresins
I thought I'd make a thread to try and collect everybody who uses an Eee PC or similar netbook, so we can compare results while playing Runescape or other games, give and receive advice and generally just chat about how awesome these little buggers are! If this is against the rules, please, delete this thread. If it's been done before, let me know, so I won't waste my time! I just got my 2nd Eee PC today. I also have a Toshiba Satellite and a 17" Macbook. Sometimes, neither of those are practical for my use. SD Runescape and RSC run perfectly on my Eee. The HD version was a little laggy at first, but I'm hoping to resolve that with StreamMyGame! Games I've played on this Eee so far are: Crysis Warcraft III COD5 HL2 Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Lego Star Wars And I'm going to do the steam config when I get home! The Eee I'm currently using is a stock 900A with XP home! More updates when I get home from the hospital!

depresins
How did you get Crysis/Lost Planet to run on an Eee? StreamMyGame. It is extremely effective if you have a good desktop computer or notebook. I highly suggest you check it out if you are keen on playing games on your Eee
JoeDaStudd
StreamMyGame. It is extremely effective if you have a good desktop computer or notebook. I highly suggest you check it out if you are keen on playing games on your EeeIts like farting on a midget; it might be fun, but its not really a good thing to do. Since you have a decent PC/Laptop to game with game on that, theres very little reason to use 2 PC's to play one game. You can't really compare how well SteamMyGame works on a client since its very dependent on the server. Any how I love my AAO, it looks so good and works so damn well. depresins
I never compared the client. All I said was the program is very effective if you have a good desktop or notebook. However, there is still plenty to discuss in relation to using the netbooks alone. I can see from the 2 posts and the p2v ratio that this just isn't going to work. Errdoth
Acer Aspire One is better :twss:. I love mine. Installed ubuntu netbook remix on it, and with curlftpfs to mount an ftp connection to my webserver and my phone being able to work as a wireless access point it is absolutely awesome.
