Maging/meleeing black demons?

Can you make a profit by maging black demons (or a slight loss). If so what kind of spell would be most effective?

 

 

 

Also, could I make cash meleeing blacks as well?

You'd be losing massive amounts of money. Black demons don't drop much. The only things that can maged profitably that I know of are aviansies, green dragons, barrows, and Dagannoth Rex.

 

 

 

You might make a profit with melee but prayer potions don't cost much in the first place (like 50k or so an hour).

Maging black demons will for sure come out as a loss unless you get incredibly lucky. Melling on the other hand will provide you with a profit although melleing green dragons or other monsters would yield a greater income. Prayer potions should be used, and you will still make some profit even when using prayer (around 50k as above poster stated).

 

 

 

In my opinion only kill black demons if their a slayer task, otherwise their a great waist of time ;)

You'll profit melee, and while you could mage effectively, it'd cost too much to be any better than ranging.

 

 

 

If you have an SGS, Bunyip, and Pineapple Pizzas, you can kill around 130 demons without employing melee prayer (or only using it at emercencies, ex when you fall below 30 hp). I've finished most my tasks that way. It's much more exciting, not to mention profitable.

Mage's hit ok on them, but it's not worth it at all (yielding about 80k per 150~200 demons)

 

 

 

If you melee, you either protect melee or d hally and less than 25 kills per 14 mins (that rate achieved with maxed melees.)

 

 

 

Not a wise choice at all for maging/ melee unless for slaying.
