Ace6470
When I open up My Computer's Properties, the CPU shows up as the Core 2 Quad, which is the correct one I bought for: But when I go to run->dxdiag, it shows up as a different one: Somethings wrong? Sindarin00
I think DXDIAG shows the exact information while my computer just shows the general stuff. I will check mine right now. My Computer: Intel® Core Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20 GHz 2.19GHz, 3.00 GB of RAM DXDIAG Intel® Core Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20 GHz (2 CPU's) Nope... I am wrong about that. Is this the original processor that came with the computer? Now I am thinking that possibly it might be reading an older processor or something. Dracion1
Very odd :o If there was a new CPU put in it should update itself, I know mine did when I added more RAM so I don't see why it wouldn't notice a new chip. Either that or something's quite wrong somewhere. "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move." My only advice is to contact Intel or Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/ http://support.intel.com/ J'adore aussi le sexe et les snuff moviesJe trouve que ce sont des purs moments de vieJe ne me reconnais plus dans les gensJe suis juste un cas désespérantEt comme personne ne viendra me réclamerJe terminerai comme un objet retrouvé
Ace6470
The funny thing is, it shows the correct name on my BIOS and Speedfan. Maybe something is wrong with dxdiag?
pryomancer
Perhaps there's some kind of force refresh option for it. Although I can't find one, and googling didn't immediately come up with anything.
Ace6470
This is a custom built computer, it was the Core 2 Quad when I built it in, never changed with another CPU. I dont know how the dxdiag got the random name of pentinum/xeon, I just don't want to get ripped off spending 200$ on a pentinum.
JoeDaStudd
Its just because its a new CPU. Ignore dxdiag and use CPU-Z instead \ [hide=Drops]Dragon Axe x11Berserker Ring x9Warrior Ring x8SeercullDragon MedDragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kcGodsword Shard (bandos)Granite Maul x 3Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats][/hide]
ThreeTears
is your BIOS out of date? You could flash your BIOS eitht he current software and it should fix the problem. But Flahing your BIOS can cause permenant damage to your computer. So if it is not causeing a problem, I suggest leaving it.
