fire fox help needed

ever since a few days ago fire fox is 1. mass crashing and the error log is spamming itself claiming that there are 100+ errors with runescape client thus im just getting white screened how do i get fire fox to play rs again restarted computer and its still not working

FireFox is 1? Do you mean you use FireFox version 1? If thats the case you should update FireFox to 3.0.7. Go to www.java.com

Anyway, I would suggest going to their website and downloading the latest version if you don't already have it, and also give this program a try;

Ah yes, the almighty CrapCleaner. Could save you a couple of hundred Megabytes of... er well crap. Use that too and if all that doesn't work try the RuneScape offcial forums at Tech Help.

are you using windows 2008 server, cuz that sounds like the problem i used to have. the client would load but when i logged on it crashed.

Yea get Firefox 3 also do this when you get it if you want FF to be a lot faster

 

 

 

Open Firefox 1.0(any version works) and in the address bar type: about:config

 

 

 

1. Find network.http.pipelining and double click on it so it = true

 

2. Find network.http.pipelining.maxrequests double click on it and change it from 4 to 100

 

 

 

What do these changes do?

 

1 This enables option #3.

 

2. This makes FF use 8 threads to each page. Basically, if you thought FF was fast before, try it after this.

Whoa whoa whoa. No need to go tweaking the config settings, Fx 3 is fast enough already and that won't make a great deal of difference.

 

 

 

Anyway OP, a few questions. Does this problem happen in other browsers? Its all very well saying it's all firefox's fault, but that might not be the case. Try it in another browser and see if you get the same problem. I'd also reccomend trying the following:

 

 

 

Update to the latest version of Firefox.

 

Update your Java.

 

Update your graphics drivers (You may not want to play HD, but this will help in general anyway).

 

Make sure you haven't got an addon that's conflicting with RS. Try disabling them all and reenabling them one by one, this should find the bad addon if you have one.
