i_love_burritos
I don't know about those.. but with lip reading.. what about watching yourself talk in the mirror or watching people's conversations that you can only mildy hear and trying to understand what they're saying. Once you've gotten the hang of it and can understand completely what they're saying, try move a little bit further away and so on until they're out of hearing range yet you can see them still.. not too sure though, just a suggestion. Ask Da_Latios about eidetic memory? As for eidetic, or "photographic" memory, it's just like watching a movie or seeing an array of photos in your head, though in full detail. It is very possible for me to look at something in a hurry but not register it and then read off it in my mind later when I have the time. But how do you have eidetic memory? Is it just .. a preset in your brain? I think I may have eidetic memory. This is all relative, seeing as I can't compare myself with anyone else, but I can recall with great detail - sounds, colour, patterns, and images. Also once I see a face, I dont lose it. I don't know how I do it. However when it comes to normal "memory" I'm fairly average. :-k

ThurinEthir
I'd very much like to zoom and focus my eyes like an epicly big small camera lens. Heh, this morning I was thinking about superpowers. I decided that having awesome vision, as in being able to see through anything, and see anything far, far away, would be well...Awesome. I may be making things up, but sometimes when I read a book, it'll seem like I'll have already read a page or two. And no, not with a book I've read before. I highly doubt I'm some sort of prophet, so the only logical explanation I can think of is that when I flip through the book (I do that sometimes, just to see how much is left), I subconsciously scan the page and store the information in my mind, and then when I read it later, I recall that information, and it seems like I already know it. But that doesn't sound so realistic, does it? So I suppose we're back to square one - I'm making things up. As for "regular" memory, I suppose I'm alright. I can probably play The Lord of the Rings movies forward and backward in my mind, but that's because I've watched them something like 20 times. I had memorized the elements in order of their atomic number, but that's because I spent hours staring at a periodic table. Nothing compared to the people I know who can tell you baseball scores from years ago. (Though I know that game 3 of the 2004 ALCS was 19-8, Yankees beating the Red Sox...) Other "superpowers"? I think someone once posted a video here about a guy who could withstand rather cold temperatures. That was pretty cool. EarthySun
And hibernation...? Sleeping is a superpower now? I finally have a useful skill besides guitar. \ About the eidetic memory subject: I think my triplet brother has this with, in fact, baseball statistics and facts. It has been his obsession since he was about nine years old, and six years later he still remembers everything, including complicated statistical formulas and every statistic for every player on the Red Sox since 1901. He just continues to astound me with that. So, basically Earthysun is Jesus's only son.
