First, now that I have a Seer's headband, is there any point in keeping Mining helmets? I noticed them sitting in my bank. There is no mining benefit to having one, is there?

 

 

 

Second, I'd like to get from level 55 to 59 in hunting quickly, but without spending a lot of money. Since I'd like to do it quickly, that rules out getting any SC items. Anyone have a tried and true method for doing it? I've seen plenty of guides, but I'm hoping someone has a few tricks up their sleeves or something they've found that works pretty well.

About the hunting, just go with the best salamanders you can. That's pretty much the universally accepted method.

Hunt Orange Sallys. Wear Graahk clothing, and bring some waterskins or an enchanted water tiara. If you can use fairy rings, there's one just south of the hunting area.
