Idea: Forgotten God Armour Sets : Absen, Mars and Whets

Hey,

I was wondering what could be good, Other than: New Skills, New Monsters, New Quests, New Items. But what i came up with, was so much better, These New Armour Sets, Which i thought of.

Absen has Platebody, Plate legs, Boots and Helm .

Mars has its own special Hard Leather, Trousers, Cowl and Gauntlets.

Whets has a special wizards hat, top part of robe then bottom part of the robe.

For stats Absen full set is +12 for Attack +11 Defense +15 Strength

For stats Mars full set is + 12 for Ranged + 8 for Defence- Ranged

For stats Whets full set is + 18 for magic + 12 for defence- magic

They have different Strengths and Weaknesses, I will now tell what is so great about these 3 armours. I would like these armour sets to be available to non-members or members, That is if Jagex put them into the game.

These 3 Armour Sets are called Absen, Mars and Whets, They are called Forgotten God Armour Sets. But there is a big difference between the two, God Armours are very expensive and they are unbeatable when faced with Rune and anything below that.

Mars Armours set looks quite barbarianish, since it has leather and also the icon of the forgotten god: Mars. Absen looks quite knight-like with the icon of the forgotten god of Absen on the boots and the chestplate. Whets looks like a mages robe but the icon of the god Whets is on the arms and chest robe

The cost of the armour is that it costs 100k for full set of any of the forgotten gods

But the 3 Armour Sets: Absen, Mars and Whets. Have weaknesses. Absen, Good in Attack,Strength and Defence. This Armour Set is good for Warriors. Can be easily defeated by Med level Magic

Mars, Good in Ranged, This Armour Set is good for Rangers, Can Be Easily defeated by Med level Attack. Whets, Good in Magic, If played on a members server, Good on Summoning too. Can easily be defeated by med level Ranged

If it has a chance then maybe, There could be a Quest created to Unlock these special armour set, The quest is also non members. The Quest should be called: The Discovery of the Forgotten Gods, Now what i was thinking was that this Quest was to start in Varrock.

There is an NPC called: Historian in the Varrock Museum if you talk to him then you start the quest, It is to be the same difficulty as Dragon Slayer.

You must defeat a foe to complete the quest, To complete the quest you must kill: A strong monster. Which is an Ankou Lvl 86, There is a chest that it is guarding and that contains Forgetten Scrolls of the Forgotten Gods.

It is located in a secret passage which is found in the Varrock sewers, It is secret because there is a trapdoor leading down into a tunnel. From there the player needs go through a door there are 6 doors. Each one has 6 monsters in them from Easy to Hard, Door 1 has goblins, Door 2 has Hob-Goblins, Door 3 has Imps, Door 4 has Black Knights, Door 5 has Chaos Dwarfs.

Door 6 is the Door to the Anzou and the Scrolls, But to get into this door you need a key, The key is made up of 5 parts the parts can be found in each room. You cannot take the key and leave there is a key to get out,the monsters inside must be killed, then you get the key to get out, and also somewhere in the room is a part of the key to Door 6.

Once you get these 5 parts, Put them together and make the Key of Forgotten Gods, Then you go into the room where there is the Anzou to be able to kill the anzou you need enough food and good weapons. After that you have killed the Anzou there is a chest behind him and then there is the Chest you take the Scrolls and you have nearly finished the quest.

From there, The anzou drops a key, This key is the key to freedom. It unlocks and hidden stairway which leads back to the Varrock Sewers, But you cannot go through without completing the Quest but the door automatically closes after you walk out. You go to the Varrock Museum and you give the scrolls to the Historian he will then unlock the chance for you to be able to wear the Armour Sets there for able to buy them.

The xp you get is 50,000 for any chosen skill these skills are Ranged, Attack,Defense,Strength or Magic. The levels you need for each armour is 40 of Attack,40 Defense and 40 Strength,50 of Ranged or 50 of Magic.

You gain 5000 gp also for helping retrieve the scrolls for the Historian

This is a special armour it is a god armour but it isnt that powerful or expensive as the Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak armours/sets

Thank You,

I hope you like the Armour Sets and the Quest, Hopefully Jagex will like my idea. If anyone would like to contact me then you can email me on [email protected] or if anyone wants to msg me on Runescape my name is MonkeyDave3.

Hey,

...The xp you get is 50,000 for any chosen skill these skills are Ranged, Attack,Defense,Strength or Magic. The levels you need for each armour is 55 of Attack,40 Defense and 60 Strength,55 of Ranged or 55 of Magic... This is a special armour it is a god armour but it isnt that powerful or expensive as the Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak armours/sets...

Okay, if I got this right, then these requirements are too high for an armour that would apparently be weaker than rune (which is all that Guthix, Saradomin, and Zamorak armour is).

It may help your cause to add in the stats of these sets and such. You don't have what parts are in each set listed, either.

I think you may be on the right track; we just need some more information before we know if this is a good idea or not.

When I see people say it, I pronounce it "poon" in my head. Makes more sense to me. My friend said it in real life once and I almost kneed him in the family-maker.

You clearly spent no time thinking about the armor stats. The highest strength bonuses we currently have:

- Helmet: +3 Strength. Requires 45 defence and a semi-difficult quest.

- Platebody: +4 Strength. You can either spend several hours on a minigame or pay 13.6 million gp.

- Platelegs +2 Strength. Requires level 65 defence and costs 11.3 million gp.

- Boots: +4 Strength. Requires level 60 defence and costs 240k gp.

The set you are suggesting requires level 40 melee stats, an easy quest and 100k gp. It offers THE greatest attack and strength bonuses... :|

The mage armour would be the greatest in F2P, but absolutely useless in members.

The ranger set is useless for everyone. Green d'hide body alone has better stats than the whole set and is 90k cheaper.

The quest is very easy for higher level players and seems to be boring. "Kill monster, get item, kill monster, get item, kill monster, get item. Use the item to unlock a door. Kill monster, get item, kill monster." Where's the story? Who builds dungeons like that? Who feeds the creatures? how does the historian know about the dungeon and why does he care?

1,5h isn't enough.

invincible to anything below rune? Too easy to exploit in games such as castle wars.

Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it.

Suggestions appreciated

Another "make melee overpowered and don't care about mage and range" thread.

No armor should ever be invincible to any others.

Holy friggin crap. Your suggestion that FTP get a level 40 armor that costs 100k and beats every single armor currently in the game. Why don't we make GWD available to FTP, make all of the bosses level 2, and make hilt drops 100%? What about scaling up weapons so they always hit whatever the HP of the thing your attacking is? I mean, that'd be so ubierly leet rite?

We do need updates to melee to make it match up to mage and range, but not level 40 FTP armor greater then anything members has at the moment #-o
