Is My Math Correct?

Please tell me if anything seems incorrect.

 

I tested the Mahogany Plank method 15 minutes ago, and i could do 3250 in an hour.

 

I have not tested the Oak Plank method; it may be more like 3400 Planks per hour.(?)

 

 

 

 

 

Assuming:

 

I use 3200 Mahogany Planks per hour (making Mahogany Dining Tables)

 

I will get 448k Experience per hour

 

I will spend 110k on my Butler (normal) per hour

 

The total cost will be 5070k per hour (1550/Plank, 110k for Butler)

 

This is 11.32gp/exp

 

(At 3000 Planks per hour, this is 11.33gp/exp.)

 

 

 

Assuming:

 

I use 3200 Oak Planks per hour (making Oak Dungeon Doors... Can i do more than 3200/hour?)

 

I will get 192k Experience per hour

 

I will spend 110k on my Butler (normal) per hour

 

The total cost will be 1550k per hour (450/Plank, 110k for Butler)

 

This is 8.07gp/exp

 

(At 3000 Planks per hour, this is 8.11gp/exp.)

 

 

 

 

 

Thus:

 

448k/192k = 2.33, so leveling with Mahogany Planks is 2.33x faster than with Oaks

 

5070k/1550k = 3.27, so leveling with Mahogany Planks is 3.27x more expensive than with Oaks

 

(5070k-1.3(money made per hour))/(1550 * 2.33) is my efficiency formula:

 

5070k-1.3(450k) = 4500k/3611.5, so leveling with Mahogany Planks is 1.25x more effective than with Oaks (Is this correct?)

actually only the final calc is off it should be 5070k-amount of money made in 1.3h saved/1550x2.33 (because u have to do 2.3x as many for same xp)

 

therfore

 

5070-1.3x/3611.5 = y times as expensive as oaks

 

 

 

example you make 200k/h (not too high not too low mmk)

 

4810k/3611.5=1.6x more expensive than oaks if u make 200k/h

 

u cant actually say if one is more efficient than the other until you figure out how much u can actually make

 

unless you can make 1122k/h then oaks are a more efficient method

speed/cost doesnt work out since people can make money whilst not having to use the slower method therefore more variables are added into the calculation

id recommend doing oaks since you will spend more money on mahogany and ultimately more time (to make back the extra money spent)
