So pretty much the title, I managed to fix almost all of our wireless problems now.

SO anyway, my brother got a new computer, with a built in Wireless Adapter, it picks up the wireless signal, says it strong connecting, but I can't do anything...

Whenever I try load a webpage it says

"Network Timeout

The server at [site] is taking too long to repond"

I've tried googling how to fi it, but I have no idea.

Ideas?

I take it as you keyed in the password and ensured your router isn't MAC address secured.

Have you tried with any other wireless devices?

I've had similar issues for years. I found that is was just easier to create a new wireless network, replacing the old one, going through the online configuration.

Are you able to ping the router? Try it. If you get 100% packet loss, it means that you're not even communicating with the router itself, in which case you should make sure it's set to use the router's IP as its gateway. If it pings the router successfully, make sure you're going through DNS servers (they associate a name with the IP address you're trying to reach; without your DNS asking for the address of google.com or some other such site, it would just give you a network timeout). If you're on any linux-based system, this can be found in your /etc/resolv.conf file.
