If your carrying your own ess with pouches, terrorbird it better. It's a long way back to Oo'glog.

I would have to say terrorbird, it is a lot more convenient compared to the oog'log pool.

Plus Terrorbirds can be used to carry a few pieces of food and a teleport item incase you get into a bad situation with the abbysal monsters before you can get into the center, and if you forget to grab a charged glory from the bank (I don't know about you, but it happens to me all the time when I am rc'ing.)

Super energies because its more efficient to use an abyssal familiar then terrorbird/energy pools.

This, they are extremely cheap and end up taking away the price of a sup energy pot every 1 and 1/2 runs through the abyss. 1,300 gp for 60+ runes crafted is hardly expensive.

They also allow you access to crafting laws, which a T-bird can't do and you do not need to go all the way to the opposite side of the map to gain temporary access to your run energy.

Super energies + Abyss Familiar is usually the best choice for abyss runs.

Apparently, my signature was to big.
