April 9, 200917 yr I am making a new account and it will be free to play until the mid June. I plan on making it a range tank with 99 range and 90+ derence. I can't decide whether to train combat or ave up money while I am FTP. If I do save money, I plan on mining rune essence until 50 mining then going with iron until I'm a member. What do you recommend I do? Also, does anyone know a good range tank guide?
April 9, 200917 yr I recommend training your combat stats. Money is easier to make in P2p (Pure essence or flax) Having atleast 20-30 defense before you enter into the p2p world is highly recommended, or most of the p2p monsters will tear you limb from limb, much like how people tear each other apart on the rants forums. April 9, 200917 yr You already have a decent account, so why do you want to start over? Just because you've been P2P before doesn't mean you can't play in a F2P world. You have a decent account right now, and it would suck to start over. .... But if you really want to, train your F2P character, make money, do whatever you would normally do, but when June comes back around, get P2P for your main, and not your new scrub account. April 9, 200917 yr This might sound a little mean, but you really need to get some kind of reality check. First off getting a 99 and 90 in a skill will take you some time and it will be hard to achieve it only until the summer starts. Unless you do play that often it will be challenging. Another thing is that it is very difficult to train range in f2p in the first place. Just keep training your "main" account. But if you insist... there is really only one way and that is to just train in places that have safespots. f2p has few and there should be less than 10 decent ones. try them out and find which one suites you.
April 9, 200917 yr I would train skills like cut/burn willows or make amulets/tiarras since the xp rate isn't too much slower in f2p. Don't waste your time training combat in f2p. quit
