I just went on XBL to DL the Mythic Map Pack. It says that it can't connect to Xbox Live, which I don't understand at all. The router light is green, and the comp that it gets the signal from has internet working. I tried the restore connection trick, by unplugging the computers modem then router, shutting off the computer, plugging in the modem and router again, then turning the computer back on.

Everything is connected as it always is, yet today in particular it just doesn't work.

Did you try again later? This has happened to me, and somehow it solved itself after my usual methods (what you described, mostly) didn't work. But beyond that I can't really help but to say try it again.

I couldn't connect to XBL earlier today either. Where did it say the connection was failing? Mine would'nt even make it past the router...

Most of the time i solve this by turning my 360 on and off.

 

If that doesn't work, it's just a simple matter of waiting until later on lol.

So it's a common problem?

always happens to me at my mums house. every single time I turn on my xbox, I just have to do the thingy with the thingy that's all like thingy thingy thingy thingy.

 

or turn it off and on again.
