You should buy pouches (1 gold ea) and spirit shards (25 ea), along with the secondary ingredient you want (which I assume is raw chicken for dreadfowl). With those and your charms, go to an obelisk (the closest at your level would be moving your house to talvery and running to the summoning shop). Just click 'infuse pouches', find the one you're making, right click-make all, and you've just trained summoning!

If you haven't looked at this yet, look at the beginner's section: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=summoning ... m#beginner

and I post too slow

EDIT: you can swap the pouches with Bogrog, who is at the summoning obelisk south of Yanille, for 70% of your shards back (but you need a higher summoning level), sell them on GE, or alch them but you will be losing money no matter which way you choose. Summoning the familiar gets you like no exp lol

Pureprayer, you're awesome.

To make pouches you will need blank pouches (buy for 1gp each from summoning shops), spirit shards (buy for 25gp each from summoning shops, or some players will offer a better deal on the RSOF), the charms of the right color for whatever pouch you are making, and the secondary ingrediants for said pouch. You take all of these items to a summoning obelisk (the big ones, not the small ones used only for recharging your summoning points) and make your pouches there. I suggest your read up on the locations of these in tip.it's summoning guide.
