Pinkbullet3
Keep in mind that most of us here on the boards have more than enough experience to be able to tell a hack/scam attempt is occurring, but there are still new players out there who might fall for this, if they aren't educated enough. I do laugh at these attempts though. Nothing is more fun than screwing around with people who try to get your password. ^ Blog.
fat_klutz
Nobody tried to hack you. Somebody tried to get you to tell them your PW. Big difference. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature. ^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one

First post that didn't make me want to bang my head against something very sharp/thick/prone to induce severe pain. :wall: One day the defenition of hacking will be correctly used by all(I can dream can't I?) And despite popular belief no OS is virus proof, and that includes UNIX based ones as well. Truth is that you need an actual brain to code something bent on attacking UNIX systems unlike Windows where the only real thing you need is google. I always love that whenever you corner them, they start yelling at you and calling you a variety of colorful names. Alg
I swear, someday I'll have a multiplayer game where all the users are required to earn minutes in the chatroom by playing a minigame that awards talk time based on how many words you can spell correctly. Sure, it may not necessarily stop trolls, but at least all the trolls will be literate, and will have earned my respect and the right to shout badly written obscenities at me while I call for security. I'd join to troll the trolls  Worst part is that there *are* people who fall for that though. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
Xizor12
It's amazing how fast most hackers crack under pressure! In time we hate that which we often fear-William Shakespeare
Chaise
Something like this happened to me in game the other day. Was walking from Varrock bank to GE when some guy in Black (g) armor started following me and saying hi. I said hi back and then he proceded to ask if I want members (I'm f2p atm obviously). I knew right there and then it was a scam so I decided to play along. I responded with "Sure, however I doubt you can give it to me." He told me to add him but since I am an ex-member I have well over 100 people on my list so I would have to delete like 50 people to add him. After explaining to him for 10 minutes that I couldn't add him, he told me to meet him in Lumbridge. We both teleported there and he led me to the little tower by the castle gate entrance for privacy I guess so no one could see us talk. From there you could probably guess what happened... He asked once again if I wanted member and of course I said sure. He then said he needed my password...dee dee dee. I told him I knew he would try that and explained to him that I have been playing this game for years and no every "trick" in the book. So he goes and says "Well I guess you don't want members" like 3 times and then runs off. I tried to follow him but my computer lagged when I went down the ladder so I lost him. :( Seriously, do they think they can trick someone of my experience in the game into giving them their password? ~~Chaise91~~
