Blast furnace smithing mithril bolts (unf)?

You can even make a *profit*

Use sacred clay hammers for extra exp.

If you use the tip.it calculator, its kind of off, because they don't have a combined SC tool + smelting thing. Just work out how much exp you want to get, then divide that by 130, and you have how many bars you need

EDIT: It's not as fast as say, mithril plates, but if your making a profit, I wouldn't complain. And its still quite fast.

Gold Bar with Gold smithing Guantlets seems to be a cheap and slack way to train. 4.8gp/xp.

When you can make Addy plates it is about 6.1gp/xp, but it is much faster.

Blast Furnace wise i am not sure, un-noting it, smelting it and smithing it seems like a hassle.

Smelting Mith bar, smithing Mith plate and alching it in blast furnace is about 1.25gp/xp and making arrow-tips actually profits, but it is really slow.

99 Ranged on 2/6/07 99 Hit Points on 9/5/08 99 Defense on 26/4/08 99 Attack on 14/2/09 99 Strength on 25/2/09 99 Slayer on 13/9/09\:D/

I calculated this way yesterday, and i hope it's of some use. It basically utilises all aspects of smithing - smelting then smithing:

Basically you buy the iron ore @ 101gp each (yesterdays price) you then buy the ring of forging. I devided the Ring of forgings price between the 140 bars it takes before it disintergrates, thus making the bar cost 108gp.

you then take the bars to an anvil and hammer out some iron knives which cost about 35gp (yesterdays prices again).

you make 5 knives per bar therefore selling for 175gp and making you about 67gp profit per bar smithed into knives

other than that the other efficient ways are blast furnace mith bolts using the coal from MTK to minimize cost and maybe even profit.

Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.

Its not that much hassle once you get into it. Generally, making the bolts is better money than arrow tips, as they're easier to sell.
