Range Kit

When i get to 80/85 defence i want to do a bit of range slaying and get range to 70/75 maybe even 80..... I have a set up in my mind, but i wanted to run it past you lot:

 

 

 

Head: Robin Hood Hat

 

Cape: Ava's accumulator

 

Bow: Rune Xbow

 

Body: Red Dhide

 

Legs: Red Dhide

 

Hands: Rune Gloves/Red Dhide

 

Boots: Snakeskin (ranger if i have the money)

 

Ammo: Lots and lots of broad bolts - should i buy them in bulk of 2K per task?

 

Ring: Archer/RoW

 

 

 

So what you guys think? recon that'll be good enough?

 

And of course when i reach 70 i will be using the black dhide body, legs, and vambs (vambs because i don't have the barrows ones)

Robin hat is useless, I'd not take it anywhere dangerous or slayer tasks, and I would use an archer helm.

 

And archer rings are kinda a waste of money in a way.

 

Ranger boots = same as robin.

 

 

 

Broad bolts = use about 150-200 per fire giant task from chaeldar, so I'd just buy like 10k and be over and done with until you need more.

How come robin hat or ranger boots are useless?

 

And how come archer ring = waste?

well its a waste of money you could better spend elsewhere, a blessed coif for example is a much better investment costing a fraction of the robin hat and having like 1 less rng atk.

 

 

 

as for boots snakeskin are your best bet again, robin looks good but i wouldnt risk it on slayer as the above poster said....having said that i woudnt even buy it.

In my opinion robin's are too overated, and people only buy them for looks most of the time. Blessed coifs give only 1 less range attack bonus than robins and are a hell of alot cheaper.

 

Archer rings are worth it, as they are the only ring that give a range boost (+4)

 

 

 

And even though rangers are expensive, they give a +8 boost, which is far higher than any other alternative. (coming 2nd are snakeskin boots with a +3 bonus)

 

 

 

Get the ring and boots if you have some spare money, they're easy to sell back.

And what's the use with 2 mil in your bank doing nothing? Are you gonna watch them and [bleep] or what? You might as well buy better gear to help you reach a goal, and by the time you've reached your goal you can just sell them back.
