Cave Crawler task.

Featured Replies

Well i just recieved a Cave Crawler task. I know that there are 2 types of Cave Crawlers that i can kill -Lvl 23 and Lvl 138. Which would be the better option? I know there are Safe Spots at the Lvl 138's but are the drops any better than the Lvl 23's? Should i just go for speed and kill the Lvl 23's?

I'd say go for speed. You'll get a nice inventory of herbs from a task, be quick and done with it.

I tried to melee the tougher ones (i thought to get some nice exp) but ended up praying as I needed a lot of food.

I don't know about any safe spots, but if they are there, you might range/mage them. I never tried that.

Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...

The lvl 23 ones with piety. There easy to get to via the slayer ring or fairy ring and drop pretty much the same.

The poli dungeon ones are a lot of hassle and take a while to kill.

Safe Spot is way up in the north of the cave, you need to wait for them to go non agressive first though. Ranging/Halberting is a good option to use. Anyway, how much Exp do you get per Kill for the Lvl 23's? I know the Lvl 138,s give 122 Exp. A task of 168 (the one i have now) will get me about 20k exp which is really not bad for 2hours of Slaying. I just dont want to have any hastle if the smaller ones will be more...benificial.

Kill the level 138 ones with a cannon and protection prayers.

The best way of killing the higher level ones is by cannoning. If you don't want to cannon, I would kill the lower level ones for a quick task. If you have access to a macaw use it, they drop a lot of herbs.

I cannon the 138s, excellent slayer xp with decent herbs. The best place to cannon them isn't in the first, large room, but in the 'intersection' room a bit north. Bring super attack and strength, 2 super antipoisons, and 2 prayer potions. Wear proselyte + melee gear.
