I, by myself think the second one is a lot better. Text sucks on both them, since I don't know how to do good text. Anyways, some C/C would be nice. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.I strike out every other week.Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.Randox pretty much stays rational.Etc, etc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Considering he pretty much stole everything put in him and they look like crap, yeah, I'd say they were made in GIMP. Including me :oops: Hey, I use PDN :twss: :lol: Anyway: You need to do more than get a background off Google, a render, and a C4D. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this took you 10 minutes. You need to go back to the signature basics really, as you have none in these tags. No flow, depth, focal point, nothing. I would expect these to come from someone who has just started, rather than someone who knows what they are doing. I'd recommend reading up on some more tutorial techniques. I am sure there will be heaps on deviantART for GIMP. Estonian dude Posted April 24, 2009 Author Share Posted April 24, 2009 Weelll, I never use Google if I make graphics for someone. I only use stock photos from DevArt. Those 2 together took me about 1.5 hours (yes, I am slow). But I used pretty much blurring, messed a lot with layer modes (specially on 2nd one). Used effect C4D's on both. On the 2nd tag, the background's right side was totally messed up for me having to work on it, so I took some time figuring out how to fix it. Took the easy centered focal part, and flipped the C4D and background photo. On the 2nd tag I wanted the drag to kinda blend in the light, so took some time there. I know these quite suck, but I am rusty atm. I agree that these have [cabbage]ty flow, but I certainly see some depth in here. TBH, I kinda tried to make them photomanipulation style. They're just very all over the place, no real flow, I'm not too sure what I'm looking at in #1 and #2 looks pretty much like just one big bright blob, some random C4D and bad text. And that text sucks, indeed. Link your stock and proof to where you can use it. Just taking images off of DevArt isn't exactly high class, not everything is there for you to [bleep]ing butcher.
