When leveling construction (oak larders) do I keep my oak logs on me and use them on my demon butler to get him to unnote them or do i just get him to take them directly from the bank?

I think you can get him to unnote them.

I bring Oak planks and have the butler unnote them. I think if you give him logs, they cannot be noted, and he has to take them to the sawmill.

Bring money, noted oak planks, a saw, and a hammer. Use him to unnote 24 logs, then plank them. It's like this:

 

 

 

Use the notes on him and give him 24 notes to unnote

 

Build a larder

 

Remove the larder

 

The butler will be back and give you the 8 logs that you have room for

 

Build a larder

 

Remove the larder

 

Build the last larder

 

Talk to your butler (he'll be following you) and he'll give you the remaining 16 logs

 

Use a log on him and tell him to plank 24 logs, it'll cost 6k say yes

 

Remove the larder

 

Wait for him to come back and give you 24 planks

 

Repeat
